Firewood Prices and Sizes

A face cord of firewood (a stack smaller than a full cord) starts at $65, delivered, when you take it whole-round instead of split. The split version costs more and arrives stacked. This page measures the stack in feet and inches and lines up our prices side by side.

What a face cord of firewood actually is
A face cord is a stack of firewood 4 feet tall and 8 feet long, one row of pieces deep. Height, length, one row: that is the whole term.
A full cord is the bigger unit: 4 feet tall, 8 feet long, 4 feet deep. The face cord we sell is the single front row of that stack, and it is what you are buying from us. When a seller quotes "a cord" without saying which kind, you cannot know what is showing up on the truck; we name the smaller stack and give you its tape-measure numbers.
Every price side by side
This is the one page where our prices sit next to each other:
- $135: split face cord (that 4 by 8 foot single-row stack), cut, split, delivered, and stacked wherever you point.
- $65: whole-round face cord (the same 4 by 8 foot single-row stack), cut to length but left in rounds, delivered.
Both loads are kiln-dried Southern pine, and only that; see what kiln-drying does to the wood. Both are the same stack size; whether the wood arrives already split is the only difference. If you would rather your split wood sit up off the ground, we can bring a rack along with the split stack.
